Scrap Retreat Weekend

First of all, we had a BLAST! Second, I am exhausted!! And, today when I got home I crashed for 3 hours and could have easily slept until in the morning!! Here we are in our matching T-shirts we bought just for the weekend, because we LOVE to cheese it up! heehee! Aren't they cute? Next year, we are thinking maybe matching PJ's...because this has to be a yearly thing. It was THAT awesome!! I only have the energy to post one picture tonight...more to come tomorrow! :-) I know you are all going to wait on pins and needles. LOL!
My favorite things about the weekend were just simply getting away with great friends, the awesome CD that Laura made for us to listen to on the way - she titled it scrappers delight - ha, the fun we had with our walkie talkies (we had to take two cars because of all the stuff and each car had a walkie talkie so we could sing together and still talk on the way...we know we are cheesy but we don't care!), and the new tools we learned about on the trip. I may think of more tomorrow when my brain isn't dead...but I do know I have to get a big bite. That is on my next Hobby Lobby trip!!
Stay tuned....more tomorrow! :-)

So where did this big event take place? Several of us have considered attending a retreat before, but we never got around to actually doing it. Maybe it's time we reconsider!

Yay! Thanks for uploading all of these great pictures!! I had so much fun. Why can't we just scrapbook for a livin' instead of having to go to work?!

You covered so much - but you asked for us to include a few more things for you so that we won't forget anything when we scrap this:

1. CB Handles BEFORE: Funny Girl, Flippy Tail, Eager Beaver & Hot Pants. CB Handles AFTER: Not-so-Funny Girl, ?, Tired Beaver & Sweat Pants.

2. Getting Lost - it was crazy dark with unfamiliar curvy roads.

3. The room was "rustic" instead of "outdated".

4. I spent the most money in the store!

5. French toast sticks are MUCH better fresh. The Quaker grits were ALL THAT and a bowl of grits.

6. Who left the ball in the teeny-tiny shower?

7. "They ID EVERYONE over 30"

8. MAJOR traffic on 30 on our way there. I was afraid we wouldn't make it!

9. Much much fun with sister/cousins!

Highlights of the weekend:

1. Singing with the walkie-talkies on the way there. Thanks again Laura for the "Scrapper's Delight" CD!

2. Laughing....and Peggy trying to stop laughing Friday night and shaking the bed so hard I thought she had restless leg syndrome, but she really just thought her Breathe Right nose strip was still her glasses and tried to take them off, then laughed so hard that she cried and her nose strip got wet and popped off.

3. Laura's GPS that didn't work once we got to Mountain Harbor and we were the blind leading the blind. Those roads are so confusing at night!

4. Loved the Golden Retriever that barked at the kitchen door every day for his morning bacon.

5. Lori and Laura trying to talk with earplugs in their ears. Huh?

6. Seeing a police officer with someone pulled over on the way home and all of us being afraid to talk on the walkie-talkies. We are such "rule-followers."

7. Good times...and Tinkerbell.
